EFFICIENT SYSTEMS’ PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAMS
The last thing you want during a hot and humid Southeast Texas summer is for your air conditioning system to malfunction. Likewise, you don’t want your heater breaking down in the midst of a cold front in the winter. The best way to avoid an expensive nuisance breakdown is to have your cooling & heating system regularly serviced, before hot or cold weather arrives. Research shows that regular maintenance can keep the A/C & heating operating at peak efficiency and capacity, and reduce mechanical breakdowns.
Would you drive your car 2,900 hours without getting a tune–up or maintenance? In Southeast Texas, homes operate cooling (2,200 hours) and heating (700 hours) systems around 2,900 hours a year. This is equivalent to driving your car 87,000 miles (2,900 hours at average 30 mph.) and you know that regular maintenance or tune ups on your car keeps your car operating as efficient as possible and reduces breakdowns.
Let Efficient Systems professionally perform preventive maintenance on your A/C & Heating system by working through a thorough checklist of maintenance items. We provide preventive maintenance for all brands, any type system, residential and commercial, regardless of who installed it. The cost for this service quickly pays for itself by reducing your utility bills or maintaining reduced utility bills due to routine maintenance.
Efficient Systems has different programs for Planned Service / seasonal checks & tunes. A Preventive Maintenance Agreement which includes twice a year checks and tune–ups with15% discount on any service required. Full Service Contracts which includes twice a year preventive maintenance AND also covers all labor and material costs for repairs.

REASONS FOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE:
FIRST – REDUCES COOLING & HEATING UTILITY COSTS
Systems not maintained lose up to 30% efficiency due to dirty coils inside and outside, small Freon leaks, dirty blowers, equipment and ducts air leaks. Preventive Maintenance checks for items causing inefficient operation of your system.
SECOND – INSURES THAT YOUR COOLING & HEATING SYSTEM IS OPERATING AT PEAK CAPACITY.
Systems not maintained lose up to 30% of their cooling or heating capacity due to dirty coils inside and outside, small Freon leaks, dirty blowers, equipment and ducts air leaks. Preventive Maintenance checks for items that reduce the ability of your system to operate the same as when brand new.
THIRD – EXTENDS THE LIFE OF YOUR A/C & HEATING EQUIPMENT.
Routine maintenance of your system can detect "little" problems and prevent them from becoming "big" expensive problems over time. Loose wires, pitted relays or contactors, small Freon leaks, coils getting increasingly dirty will, just like your car, result in future major repairs if not detected and repaired.
FOURTH – REDUCES EMERGENCY SERVICE
Just as preventive maintenance extends the life of your equipment, it also reduces emergency service by up to 75% because "little" problems due to "wear and tear" that will eventually produce equipment breakdown can be diagnosed and repaired, before high demand on your equipment during SE Texas hot & humid summers or a cold front in the winter.
FIFTH – PRIORITY SERVICE & DISCOUNT ON EMERGENCY SERVICE
Should you need emergency service and have a PMA, you receive priority service (placed ahead of the "pack") and a 15% discount on any labor or materials required to fix or repair your problem. Service Contract customers also receive priority service along with no charge for labor or materials to repair.
SIXTH – THE NEED TO CHECK HEATING EQUIPMENT FOR SAFETY
Preventive Maintenance will check heating equipment for safety issues such as: pinholes in gas heat exchangers which can allow carbon monoxide into your home; clogged gas burners that can allow gas flame to "blow" outside the equipment; inoperable safety switches; loose wires that can cause electrical shorts.
SEVENTH – INCREASES COMFORT IN YOUR HOME
You purchased and operate you’re A/C & Heating system to provide comfort in your home. Preventive Maintenance also checks operation of your thermostat, cleanliness of your filters, air flow of your blower, checks for proper attic ventilation, indoor air quality, and other items that affect the comfort inside your home. In addition you get to personally ask a professional about particular questions or issues you might have or ask how you might improve the comfort and efficiency of your home.
EIGHTH – REDUCES A/C CONDENSATE OVERFLOW
Every check and tune–up includes cleaning of your A/C condensate drain line and fittings, to reduce chance of condensate overflow into equipment, safety pan, ceiling, or floor. We also sell and install condensate overflow detection devices to prevent damage to ceilings or floors.
NINTH – MAINTAIN MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY
Most manufacturers require regular maintenance on their equipment to maintain the warranty.
TENTH – ALLOWS YOU TO ASK AN EXPERT QUESTIONS CONCERNING YOUR HOME COMFORT.
What better time to "face to face" ask questions about better dehumidification, hot and cold rooms, indoor air quality, high utility bills, attic ventilation, than just after a professional has checked and tuned your air conditioning and heating system.
